Half of respondents concerned that social media posts can damage job prospects

Prospects' monthly poll for March found that two fifths (42.3%) of respondents are uncomfortable with potential employers accessing their social media profiles as part of the job application process - a third said that they are comfortable with it.

Moreover, when asked if they've ever decided not to post content on social media because they were concerned about how it might look to a potential employer, 52% said yes.

Small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) are a little less important to graduate employment in Scotland than in some other parts of the UK, with 22% of graduates starting their career at an SME. [Luminate]
